So, I don’t have a full post today because I spent all yesterday with my Mamala and it was so much fun hanging out with her that I neglected the blog completely. However, I can’t let the day go by without saying a big THANK YOU for all the happy birthday comments I’ve received over the past few days!!

The fact that you take the time to read my blog- much less take the additional time to comment and send birthday wishes- well, it means so much me. Thank you. You guys are amazing.

thanks frog

I’ll be back tomorrow with my usual brand of sarcasm and tales of fitness related shenanigans and tomfoolery.

For today though I do have one big question- have you found that the blogging community has been more supportive than you were expecting when you first started your blog?

(For me this answer is a big YES in so many ways and for so many reasons :))

45 Thoughts on “Thank You!

  1. Glad to hear you enjoyed a lovely day! I never expected to love blogging as much as I do now. While it’s only a hobby for me, it’s something I enjoy doing as often as possible!

    • Thanks my dear! You have been one of the most amazing people I’ve “met” through blogging! its so wonderful to feel like you have a virtual support system, i could never have imagined how great it would be before i started!

  3. Yes! I’ve definitely found that to be true — I love that people who’ve never met IRL can be so supportive of each other. It’s wonderful to be part of an online community of such smart, funny, and generally fabulous women! :)

    • Amen! I look so forward to the camaraderie online every day. I love hearing about everyone’s experiences and getting their take on my thoughts and the thoughts of others. You’ve been so instrumental in that :) thanks my dear!

  4. Awwr! Cue warm and fuzzy feelings! I’ve been kind of absent from the blog world for the past few days so… HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLIE! 😀 I’m loving that you had such a good one, and loving it even more that the blog world made you feel so… err… loved. I definitely agree that the people in this community are pretty darn amazing, and it’s crazy to think that I can feel so close to women that I’ve never even met.

    • thank you!! And I know, I feel like we know each other even though we’ve never technically “met” :) It’s amazing the strength and support of this blogging community, i could never have imagined that before I started. And i’m glad you’re back today!

  5. I’m glad you had such a wonderful birthday for the start of a new decade!
I had no idea the blogging community would be so supportive and that I’d ‘get to know’ so many fantastic women!

    • thanks chica :) It really has been such an amazing experience! isnt it funny how you truly feel like you “know” people even though you’ve never technically met? and for the most part i think the friendships that develop in this sort of environment are just as good as getting to know people in real life. people pour their hearts into blogs, and its a great way to get to “know” them.

  6. YES! I was still struggling with binge eating for a period of time while I had my blog, and it was amazing to hear other people’s stories and have them support me during such a difficult time. Even outside of eating disorders, even when I’ve had a bad day and talk about it, everyone is always genuinely concerned. It’s a little weird, once you think about it, because we’ve never actually met met each other…and yet I feel like I’ve known you and other women for such a long time!
