Ok so, I first saw this survey on the blog of the amazing and indefatigable Work In Sweats Mama, herself, Nicole. And then I started seeing it everywhere!  So, I had to jump on the bandwagon.

It’s being hosted by Writing, Wishing and Miss Elaineous Life. So let’s get to it, shall we?

5 things I’d Like To Do Before I Die

Here’s where you learn a little about my inner crazy- (actually this doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface)- I am very superstitious that if I fill this out and I die before I get to do the things on this list that I’ll be trapped in limbo like one of those ghosts with all their “unfinished business” that roam the earth scaring ghost hunters on the Travel Channel. So for that reason I’d rather not fill this out.

5 Things I Say A Lot

1. “Grande non-fat blonde misto please”

2. “Is this funny or inappropriate?”

3. “Sorry I can’t stop laughing” – usually at the inappropriate stuff nobody else finds funny

4. “Remind me to tell you something later”

5. “Umm good question… I’ll have to ask my mom”

5 Books I’ve Read Lately

1. The Fran Lebowitz Reader -Fran Lebowitz

fran leboitz reader

2. Forever Erma – Erma Bombeck

3. Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill

2. India

3. Bora Bora

4. Australia (2013’s worlds happiest country)

5. Kenya on safari

Pick a category and tell me about you! Or what I’d really like to know is what are you reading lately? I have a couple books in the queue, but I need more! Also fill this out yourself- take the logo image and link up!

  1. Thanks for the shout out. I haven’t thought about Troop Beverly Hills in years! LOVE that movie! Way to rock old school blogging!

  2. Love, love, love Troop Beverly Hills! When I had my wisdom teeth out (I was 20, not 10), Kelly searched the city high and low for that movie for me! He never did find it, but I’m sure I could find it online now!
Your HTML and CSS book must have been a struggle to get through!
I’m reading Run or Die right now and have Crazy Rich Asians up next.
    Happy Friday!

  4. Maybe instead of “Things To Do Before I Die” you could call it “Things To Do Over the Next 50-60 Years” and then no pressure?

I just finished Tina Fey’s “Bossypants,” which was pretty funny and a super easy read. Next up is Michael Pollan’s “In Defense of Food.” I’m trying to stick to light, shortish books, since I only have a few weeks until I leave.

I’m actually kinda hard pressed to name my passions! Based on my Google search history, they’d include cute pictures of animals, cookie recipes, and lyrics to ________
Alex @ Brain, Body, Because recently posted…Things Helping Me to Keep it TogetherMy Profile

    • hahahaha cute pics of animals- if i could have listed 6, that would have made the list! and yeah maybe reworded, i could have answered the question :) and i still havent read bossypants, i need to get on that!

  5. So I really need to watch Bridesmaids again. It’s been a couple of months, which is basically completely unacceptable. And your answer to the things before you die thing is completely legit, in my mind :-p

  6. Oh man! Totally kicking it old school with Troop Beverly Hills! Classic 😉 I’d really like to visit Greece, Ireland, Italy, and Thailand. And something on my bucket list is to see real pandas up close and personal…not from my usual San Fran panda cam on my computer haha #obsessed.

  8. Hahaha. All those movie are faaaaabluouusss! I think I’d like to read some of the more recent memoirs, like jacye duggard, elizabeth smart, or amanda knox, they just seem so interesting! Although maybe sad…but still good reads about the human spirit probably!

  9. Clueless!!! Sorry, got a little excited for that one there. Did you know I know every single line from that movie – yep, I’m a little obsessed about it. Now, I’m convinced I need to watch it again.
Same with Tommy Boy and Bridesmaids now that I think about it – such classics;)
Haha, and I love that you mentioned you’re passionate about candy crush…this makes me kind of happy I haven’t downloaded it yet – but still curious.
    Let’s hope I don’t get tempted.
    Happy Friday<3

    • ah you are the sweetest! i would lovvve to visit mumbai one day. in all honesty, its probably more like my #1 place i want to visit, but napa is closer so i probably have a better chance of getting there first :)

  12. 5. “Umm good question… I’ll have to ask my mom” hahahahaha. Um, I wish I could tell you that I’m an avid reader, but I’m far from that. I reallly want to start reading books, but right now the only thing I read is blog posts, haha. And Paleo books (sometimes). I love that one of your favorite movies is Tommy Boy!!! Let’s see…Clash of the Titans (the og from 1981), Anchorman, Runaway Jury, Pitch Perfect, and Zoolander.
Rebekah @ fitnesscrEATures recently posted…Pro Compression GIVEAWAY!!!My Profile

    • oh anchorman and runaway jury!! great calls. i really need to see pitch perfect. and I KNOW- i spend so much time reading blogs lately, my book-readin’ has been slipping. and there was one more thing i was going to say, can’t remember now… it will come to me….

  14. I never watched Bridesmaids, but I’m seeing it on almost everyone’s “old school” posts. I think I need to Netflix it. I have been reading a lot of young adult stuff this summer (so I can recommend stuff to my students), so if you’re into that sort of thing, Lessons from a Dead Girl by Jo Knowles and the Stupid Fast trilogy by Geoff Herbach were good, quick reads.

I’m passionate about healthy living, running and keeping my dog alive (aka loving and spoiling him like crazy). Oh, I’m also passionate about all the people in my life – I’d be nothing without em! :) Have a fabulous weekend!!!

  20. So *you* are the one ordering the misto! I have wanted to order one for so long, but I’ve never done it. There’s always someone a person or two ahead of me that does and I always wonder…WHAT IS THAT??? I just keep to my grande skinny cinnamon dolce latte…and that keeps the mystery alive.

I love your GIF for the things you’d like to do before you die. You are my people. –Lisa

    • Lol! i was the person ordering nonfat lattes too til the misto changed my world- its coffee and steamed milk, so essentially a latte with coffee instead of espresso. i get the blonde roast because i like the taste best, and it packs as much punch as the espresso in my opinion, and its like half the price of a latte- i highly suggest it!

  21. Loving number 4 on your list of country’s to visit… although I don’t know where they got the happiest place on earth fact from. Pretty sure disneyland trademarked that!

Candy crush.. so its not just Australia thats been absorbed by this craze. When I was out for dinner the other night, the table next to us (of 6) were all playing that and that mind numbingly addicting music was ringing through the place!
