Me: “Will I offend anyone if I post this?”

Eric: “Everybody. But that’s ok you can be the Queen of Mean. It’ll be your new gimmick.”

Me: “What?! That title doesn’t suit me at all.”

Eric: (Says nothing)

Me: “I prefer to think of myself as the Prime Minister of Sinister.”

Anyways, that refers to a future post. Let’s live in the present and focus on Thinking Out Loud Thursday.

Today I’m thinking about thinkers. Thinkers who thunk thoughts and then wrote those thoughts down, not unlike ourselves for TOLT!

I’m thinking of the greatest philosophers of all time… and how their thoughts may have been different had been healthy living blogger-philosophers  😀

  1. Char, this is to date, my favourite post of yours. I’m actually lol’ing like an idiot right now.

I once went to a interview for a sports captain in high school and they asked me for a quote and all I had on my mind was the stupid one used in ‘Survivor’- Outwit, Outlast, Outplay. I told them that.

Two weeks later, we got feedback and I was unsuccessful. They told me they thought my mindset was to lie, cheat and steal to be successful.

    This was a random comment.

  3. 😆 I literally spit my coffee out when I read the running one. Brilliant. My favourite quote doesn’t have an ounce of humour in it, but its: “There is a time in every man’s education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide.” Kind of gives me shivers.

  4. Number 6 – that is amazing. They are all amazing, but especially number 6. Basically, just don’t ever change!
As for a favourite quote, my answer to this basically changes daily to reflect whatever’s going on in my life. Currently, i’m loving this one: “The more you love your decisions, the less you need others to love them.”

  11. Hahaha I love the running one! They are all awesome, though.

When I need extra bursts of motivation, I tell myself that I’m a total bad-ass and can do anything. It’s totally not true, haha, but in those moments when I need the boost, it works!

    • I do that too! something along the lines of “I’m awesome, i’m the best” juuust until i complete the task at hand and realize im lucky to be alive and in no way “the best” at that activity. :)

  12. So much wisdom. Those philosophers have nothing compared to you.

I can’t wait to see what this offensive post is about. I think we all have a good enough sense of humor. It can’t be that bad…
