So, not that I think my primal challenge is comparable in any way to being pregnant, but I’m about to compare it to being pregnant.

Follow me here.

My moods are crazy, the cravings are ravenous and there are some changes that I feel I should be tracking.

Therefore I’m taking the Weekly Blogger Pregnancy Update Form from Holly’s blog and answering all the same questions for my Primal Update.

This is Charlotte’s Primalcy Update, week 1:

Baby’s size?  6’4. We’ve learned that Eric gets cranky when he goes this long without a burrito.

Stretch marks? No, but there are claw marks on my cupboard out of frustration there were no treats inside.

Sleep? Yes, but crazy vivid dreams of me frolicking in a field with a giant sour patch kid.

Best moment this week? Realizing we had just made it one full week!

Miss Anything? That’s Miss Charlotte to you.

Movement? I prefer to keep information regarding my bowels off the internet, please and thank you.

Food Cravings? Sour Patch Kids, cold noodles, rice around my sushi, frozen yogurt etc. (Eric is craving burritos.)

Anything making you queasy or sick? I tried this really gross all natural grass fed beef jerky thing. I wanted to vom.

Gender? Equality.

Labor Signs?

road signs

They’re doing construction work en route to the healthy grocery store.

Symptoms? Crankiness, cold sweats, lower wine tolerance

Belly Button – in or out? Inny.

Wedding Rings – on or off? Currently living in sin.

Happy or Moody?

Looking Forward To? Day 30

When was your last personal challenge? Was it athletic? nutritious? academic? other?

Do you get weird dreams when you change your diet?

What was your best moment of last week?

  2. Hahahahaha rice around the sushi. Rice without sushi is like sashimi….with a side of rice.

Hopefully this won’t gross you out but there are such things as meat sweats.

  3. So happy you are doing this to feel better! This is somehow reminding me of something….hmmm…now what is it….I know, stretching so you don’t hurt yourself! LOL

  4. hahaha the claw marks. ain’t that the truth. however, eating better really does make your poops way better and regular. not that you care but i always poop at 8am like clockwork. starts my day off right. seriously, not that you care.

  5. haha as per usual with literally everything you write – I love this! And I don’t get weird dreams when I change my diet – or at all, to my knowledge. I very, very rarely remember dreams. I don’t know what that says about me.

  6. Hahaha okay so I skimmed the beginning at first to get the gist of what I was about to read and missed the whole “not actually pregnant” thing. So when I went to read the cravings and dreams etc I was like… WHATTTTTTTT. Then I went back to read the beginning and all was right with the world haha but anyways, the only time I have crazy dreams is if I eat dessert too late at night. Other than that, I pretty much feel the same every day. Although in picky fashion, I also don’t change my diet around a whole lot 😉

You are too funny lady! Or should I say “Miss Charlotte”!
I don’t know bout dreams, but I get weird “movement” when I change my diet! My last -uncompleted- personal challenge is neither athletic, nutritious nor academic – it is to clean my desk — I figured when I found a piece of gum that looked more like a fuzzy piece of jerky it was time! :)

    • Hahahaha yeah i need to do a thorough cleaning of my apt for that reason. Im good at keeping the “visual” area clean, but cleaning under and around stuff is a rare event :)

  8. hahaha…OMG…I love this! Who knew that pregnancy and your primal challenge would be so similar!? Hopefully, Week 2 will get a little easier!

  10. HaHa – love the comparison between your challenge and pregnancy!!! No way that I’m doing anything like that – I know myself too well and the minute I say I can’t have certain things it is all I will think about!!!

  11. 😆 Oh lady… It’s gotta be getting close to the end now, right? 😛 And I’m not sure about getting weird dreams when I change my diet, but I definitely get weird dreams if I get too hot at night.. Then it’s basically those freaky ass fever dreams 😯

  14. You are highly entertaining. I love you compared going primal to being pregnant.

I hope to read more about your dream love affair with a life size sour patch kid (or was it kids and then is it kinky?), and do not tell Eric I made my first batch of veggie enchiladas last night, and they were delicious. I also paired it with a side of rice. :)

Stay strong. Or elope with a sour patch kid. Whatever feels more natural, ya know.
